미국의 팝 가수 Lady Gaga (레이디 가가)는 2011년 5월에 그녀의 2집 [Born This Way]가 공개되었고 선공개 곡 'Born This Way', 'Judas', 'The Edge of Glory', 'You And I', 'Marry The Night'까지 5곡의 싱글이 모두 히트하는 기록을 새우며 세계적으로 6백만 장의 판매고를 올렸다.

 

2012년부터 펼친 월드투어 "Born This Way Ball"을 서울 잠실 공연으로 시작해 화제를 모으기도 했다.2013년 3집 [Artpop]을 발매, 발매 첫 주에 25만 장 이상의 판매를 거두며 빌보드 앨범 차트 1위로 데뷔했으며 첫 싱글 'Applause'와 R.Kelly가 피처링한 'What Do You Want'가 히트를 기록했다.
