쎄이 (SAAY)-Summer In Love (Feat. Colde)

더운 여름에는 시원한 것이, 차가운 겨울에는 따듯한 것이 끌린다. 난 20대 초반의 어느 날, 가장 뜨거웠던 여름에 가장 차가운 이별을 했다.

 

이 곡은 내가 2020년 봄에 발매했던 “DON’T KNOW”의 연장선으로, 이별을 겪고 난 후 내 사랑이 무너지는 고통의 시간(“DON’T KNOW”)을 지나 다시 사랑에 빠지길 원하는 희망 고문 같은 곡이다.

지나간 사람을 다시 잡고 싶고 그리워하면서도, 다시 새로운 누군가의 연인이 되고 싶어 하는 마음. 다시 맞이하게 될 여름은 더 이상 고통스럽지 않을 거라는, 그 언젠가의 사랑이 나에게 찾아왔을 땐 마치 여름날의 소나기 (이별) 후 하늘이 우리에게 주는 잠깐의 선물인 무지개처럼 아름답게 빛날 것이라는 소망을 담은 곡이다.

뜨거운 여름 안에서 더 이상 소나기 같은 사랑은 겪고 싶지 않으니, 무지개 같은 사랑만 찾아오길 바란다는 마음 같은 그런.
