멈추지 않는 프렙(PREP)의 시티팝, 새 싱글 ‘Carrie’ 발매

경쾌한 건반과 희망찬 드럼비트 속에 감춰진 우울한 메시지

영국의 시티팝 밴드 ‘프렙(PREP)’이 ‘Pictures Of You’, ‘On and On’에 이어 10월 30일 발매 예정인 첫 정규앨범의 세 번째 프로젝트인 싱글 ‘Carrie’를 발매한다. 프렙의 이번 싱글은 코로나19로 인해 철저히 봉쇄된 상황 속에서 녹음이 진행되었다.

특히, 16명의 현악기 연주자들, 그리고 지휘자와 온라인으로 연결되어 녹음이 진행된 순간은 멤버 모두에게 특별한 기억으로 남는다며 이번 곡에 대한 애정을 전했다.

또한, 보컬 톰 헤브록은 “펍에서 약간 취해있는 누군가가 피아노에 앉아 그가 겪은 우울한 사연을 몽롱한 노래로 연주하는 듯하다.“며 이번 곡의 분위기를 묘사했다.
