Ed Sheeran(애드시런)은  2010년  인디 시절 마지막 EP [No.5 Collaboration Project] 앨범은 아이튠즈 차트 2위에 올랐다. 이를 계기로 메이저 레이블 아틀란틱 레코드 (Atlantic Records)와 계약을 맺었고, 2011년 데뷔 앨범 [+]를 발매했다. [+]는 발매와 동시에 영국 앨범 차트 1위를 차지했다. 

두 번째 앨범 [X]가 2014년 발매와 동시에 영국과 미국 앨범차트 동시 1위를 기록했다. 그는 '2014년, 2015년 전 세계에서 가장 많은 앨범 판매고를 기록한 남자 솔로 가수'가 되었다.

2017년 3월, 세 번째 앨범인 [÷]를 발매했고 곧이어 영국과 미국 앨범차트 1위에 올랐다. 앨범의 싱글 'Shape Of You'와 'Castle On The Hill'은 호주, 독일 등 전세계 여러 나라의 차트에 올랐고, 이 앨범의 곡들은 Calvin Harris, Beyonce 등 최고의 가수와 함께 리믹스 되어 주목을 받았다.
