첫 정규앨범 [Testimony]로 단숨에 R&B/힙합계의 신성으로 떠올랐던 ‘August Alsina (어거스트 알시나)’가 힘든 시간을 이겨내고 새로운 싱글 [Today]로 돌아왔다.
2015년 그는 눈의 질병과 면역 질환을 발견하여 활동을 중단했다. 하지만 곧 음악 작업을 재개하며, 인스타그램을 통해 팬들에게 “건강은 나아지고 있는 중”이라는 근황을 알렸다. 팬들 뿐 아니라 어거스트의 절친 ‘Jada Pinkett Smith (제이다 핑켓 스미스)’ 또한 방송에서 그에 대한 변함 없는 지지를 보냈다.
